I Am A Friend of God!

I Am A Friend of God! Recently things have been difficult and at times I felt like I needed a friend or a confidant, but then I was reminded that the all-knowing, all-powerful Creator of the universe is my friend that sticks closer than a brother. He wants to walk with me, talk with me and simply share life with me. That’s why He created me first and foremost, for His fellowship. It’s as simple as opening my heart of faith to Him just like Abraham did. I found that God is truly a friend who sticks closer than a brother. That means He is always faithful and true, never too busy and always present. People may let you down, but God will never let you down. He will never leave you. He will never forsake you. He is with you always. He is mindful of you. He is always thinking of you. Today, what an honour and privilege it is to be called God’s friend! Let that sink down into your heart right now. The next time the enemy tries to tell you that you are alone in this world, or no one understands what you are going through, just say out loud, “I am a friend of God!” “And the scripture was fulfilled that says, ‘Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,’ and he was called God’s friend.” (James 2:23, NIV) Pray With Me Yahweh, thank You for being my friend today and always. Thank You for loving me and being faithful to me. Help me understand Your friendship, so that I can be a better friend to those around me, in Jesus’ name! Amen.
