A Greater Love

View it in your browser. A Greater Love A few days ago I was watching a programme on Memorial Day. A time where all those who have given their lives in service for their country are honoured. As I sat there remembering what these brave men and women did, I wanted to honour them for what they had done in showing a greater love to others. It made me think of what Jesus did for us. I’m so thankful that Jesus loved us enough to lay down His life so that we could spend eternity with Him. He was the ultimate expression of love. Did you know that there are ways you can lay down your life to express your love to others? When you let go of having your own way, or when you put the needs and desires of others above your own desires, that’s a form of laying down your life. Today, choose to follow Christ’s example by putting others first, because love is all that matters in eternity. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13, NIV) Pray With Me Yahweh, thank You for another day to praise You. Father, thank You for being the ultimate example of love. God, help me follow Your example and lay down my life for others. Let everything I do bring honour to You, in Jesus’ Name!
